October is Hispanic Heritage Month. Jahmier is a second grader we work with at Passage Home. To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month he wrote his first ever essay, and created this beautiful poster about Mexico. Some of his favorites from this poster, are the Jaguar, which we learned is a great swimmer, and the Aztec Dancers, which are framed by Dream Catchers, Jahmier's second favorite thing from this poster. He created the poster and the paper with the help of one of our JLC Tutors, over the course of last week, and everyone is very proud of the finished product!

The country I am learning about is Mexico.
The capitol of Mexico is Mexico City.
Mexico is located on the North American continent.
Economy
Mexico natural resources are oil, and silver and
copper. The money in Mexico is the Peso. Some job are
mariachi, Mounted Police, and Charro's (cowboys).
Daily life
In Mexico 3 year old kids have to go to school. The food
of Mexico is spicy. People use taxis to get places.
Native animals
Mexico is full of cool animals.
The harpy eagle is the Tallest, largest eagle in the world.
The side winder snake only moves sideways.
Jaguars are great swimmers.
Mexico sounds like a nice place.
